FAQs: Audible and Amazon Prime Integration
Is Audible free with Prime?

Prime members can access ‘Channels for Prime’, which offers curated Audible content. However, a comprehensive Audible subscription provides additional content and is separate.
Does Amazon Prime include Audible channels?
Yes, Prime members can access ‘Channels for Prime’, which offers a curated collection of Audible content.
If I have Amazon Prime, is Audible free?
Amazon Prime members can enjoy certain Audible benefits for free, but a comprehensive Audible subscription is separate and offers more content.
Why isn’t Audible free with Amazon Prime?
Audible isn’t free with Amazon Prime because they are separate services that come with their own costs. Understanding Audible’s Availability for Amazon Prime Members
Audiobooks are one of the most popular ways to listen to audio content online.
Millions of people enjoy listening to audiobooks while commuting, exercising, working, cooking, reading, relaxing, etc.
But did you know that many people aren’t aware that full Audible account subscriptions do not come free with Amazon Prime memberships?
But for avid audiobook listeners, it’s worth considering a separate subscription if you want access to hundreds of thousands of audiobooks and other audio content. And if you’re an Amazon Prime member, you can always take advantage of the discounted rate on Audible subscriptions.
Amazon Prime includes a rotating selection of 50+ audiobooks every month, including some of the best authors like Stephen King, J. K. Rowling, Neil Gaiman, and George RR Martin.
You won’t receive a notification when a book is no longer available, but you will always have access to those books on the Audible channel on your Kindle, Fire tablet, Mac, or PC.
Audible members have access to over 200,000 audiobooks and other audio content. Members have the option of unlimited listening with their Audible membership, which includes a 30-day free trial period.
Audible Originals are also available to subscription members only. These are shorter-form audio stories and podcasts that you won’t find anywhere else. So if you’re looking for exclusive content, an Audible membership could be worth the investment.
Audible also offers annual membership plans with even more savings and exclusive discounts. So if you listen to a lot of audiobooks, it might be worth considering switching your subscription to an annual plan in order to save the most money.
How Can You Use Prime With Audible, Then?
If you have an Amazon Prime members subscription, you can now download your entire Audible library of audiobooks onto your device without having to worry about losing access to those books (also see, ‘Amazon Music vs Spotify‘).
You just need to know how to do it. Here’s what you need to know.
First things first, you’ll want to make sure you’re logged into your account on Amazon’s web browser.
Then, head over to www.audibletrial.com/amazonprime. Once there, you’ll see a link that says “Get Started.”
Clicking that link takes you to a page where you can sign up for a 30-day trial of Audible.
When you log in, you’ll find out how much credit you’ve got left in your account.
Once you’ve signed up, select one of your favorite audiobooks from your library.
After you’ve selected the book you want to download, click the button that says “Download Now.”
This will start downloading your selection.
While it’s doing that, you’ll receive a confirmation email letting you know once the process is complete.
Now that you’ve downloaded your books, you’ll want to sync your Kindle Fire tablet or iPhone to your Audible app.
To do that, open the Audible App on your phone or tablet. You can now read your books wherever you go.
As long as you have a Wi-Fi connection, you can enjoy your audiobooks.
And if you don’t have Wi-Fi, no worries—you can still listen to your books while you’re offline.
Just remember to turn off the autoplay when you exit the app. But don’t worry, we’ll go through this in more detail below to guide you!
Step 1: Downloading The App
Audible is one of the most popular audiobook companies out there.
They’ve been around since 2000, and how Audible works is that you can download their app directly onto your phone.
You’ll find it under “Audio Books & Audiobooks.” The app itself is pretty straightforward.
If you want to listen to Audible books or podcasts, just tap the book cover or podcast icon.
For those looking for something else entirely, you can browse the catalog or even buy a book or audiobook through iTunes.
Step 2: Launching The App
Open the Audible app on your mobile device.
If you don’t already have an Audible subscription, you’ll see a prompt to sign up. Tap “Sign In.”
On your device, open the Audible app and sign in using your email address and password that’s associated with your Amazon Prime membership.
You’ll be taken to your Audible home screen, which should show no books unless you’ve recently added one.
Tap the button next to the book you want to listen to.
Step 3: Select ‘Channels’
On the app, find the “Channels” icon in the row of three icons that appear along the lower edge of the screen.
The Channels icon looks kind of like the face of a rooster. You’ll see it under the name “Prime Video.”
If there are no channels listed, tap on the channel icon again to refresh the list.
Once you’ve clicked on the Channel icon, the Channels for Amazon Prime screen should appear on the phone or tablet.
Tap on the “Prime Video” tab and scroll down to the Audible channels section called “Channels.”
There you’ll see a listing of all the Prime Video channels available on your account.
Scroll to the left or right to view different categories of videos, such as comedy, documentaries, kids’ programming, movies, TV shows, etc.
Step 4: Finding Your Audiobook Collection
Scroll down to the bottom of your Channels for the Prime screen and tap “Audiobook Collection.”
This will take you to the Audiobook Collections screen, where you can find a collection of books that are listed under one category.
You can choose to view the categories alphabetically or by popularity.
If you want to add a book to your library, simply scroll down to the bottom of this screen and tap “Add New Book.”
Then, type in the book’s name in the search bar and select it from the dropdown menu.
If you don’t see the book you’re looking for, try searching again using different keywords.
You can even download your favorite books onto your Kindle device if you have an Amazon Prime account membership.
Simply go to the “Download Your Books” section on the left side of the screen.
Step 5: Locate Your Book In Your Collections
The Amazon Kindle app now includes a feature that lets you stream any of the books in your Kindle Collections directly into your device.
If you don’t already have a collection, you can find it here. Once you’ve found your book, tap the “Collections” tab and select “Books.”
Then scroll down and tap each book to add it to your collection.
Amazon’s audible service is easy to use and offers a wide selection of popular titles.
It also makes it easier than ever to enjoy your favorite books while traveling.
Amazon is giving away two free audiobooks to people who sign up for Audible.
To qualify for the offer, you must be an Amazon Prime member. You’ll receive one audiobook per month.
For example, if you select “The Girl On The Train,” you’ll receive one audiobook every month.
