It is aimed at users of all levels, teaching all sorts of audio production tricks such as how to create, enhance and edit audio, including working with noise reduction and restoration effects on audio tracks, using diagnostic tools, changing pitch, stretching time, solve audio problems, and more.

And the other great thing about this particular course is that it’s not just passive learning, watching video tutorials – you get to practice what you learn with exercise files and course quizzes.

It is aimed at beginners, so you don’t have to worry about being perplexed by jargon, and everything will be explained in easy to understand terms.

The other thing we love about this course is that in addition to covering all the usual content such as editing audio files, sound effects and exporting your recordings, it also has a problem-solving element where you learn to fix common recording issues.

Well over 10,000 people have taken this course, and it still comes out with an impressive 4 and a half star rating (out of 5).

So we dug a little deeper to see what makes this course so popular, and as you may have guessed from the course title, this course can take you from the very basics of audio production secrets, right the way through to the tips and tricks of the editing trade, including how to edit radio jingles, DJ drops, podcasts, music and more.

And despite its rather succinct time frame, it does pack a lot of tutorials in there.

There are a whopping 73 lectures in total, covering things like how to make your voice sound better, vocal sound effect presets, reverb, echo and delay, Adobe Audition Plugins, and more.

Now, if you want to get in the advertising space with your audio editing, this would certainly be the course for you, since it’s specifically aimed at audio production for voice-overs.

Something that’s increasingly in demand (and rightly so).

In addition to teaching you the basics of audio editing in Adobe Audition, it also covers such things as what to do about breaths, the best ways to send files to clients, generating clients and boosting income, voice-over etiquette, how to get a deeper voice, how to get rid of an accent, microphone technique and more.

So with the bulk of the course covering the use of Adobe Audition for working with audio, you also get several bonus chapters, totaling nearly an hour, specifically put together to further your career in voice-overs and voice-over audio production.

With good reason, this is one of the more expensive Adobe Audition courses in our shortlist, but with the career potential it can offer, most would decide it’s well worth the money.

You will learn how to navigate the user interface, remove unwanted background noise, create audio mixes, give your voice a smooth, studio-like quality, and how to meet all the standards of top podcast platforms such as Itunes, Spotify, Stitcher, and more.

This is very much a hands-on course, and you will be carrying out your own projects on the software.

The only drawback to the Skillshare platform (which can also be seen by some as a benefit)  is that you have to pay a monthly or annual subscription fee.

These tutorials can vary from anywhere between 1 minute and 30 minutes on. They have tutorials aimed at beginners as well as ones aimed at more experienced users.

You can pick and choose which of the tutorials you do and don’t want to take, thus tailoring your learning specifically to the particular topics you want to know about.

There aren’t a whole lot of these tutorials, but they are very easy to follow and to understand.
